#DEPRESSION

The term DEPRESSION is very common to hear ,nowadays. We take the case  of depression very lightly. We think that it's quite normal, if anyone is suffering from it and there is no need to visit a psychiatrist or a counselor and generally our words of advice are that give some time to yourself and try to be happy. We don't realize with what pain and pressure they are going through,we don't understand that being happy in a situation when you are not happy at all is very very tough.Depression is like any other disease which needs proper and timely treatment. Most people are affected by depression in their lives either directly or indirectly through a friend or a family member.Confusion about depression is commonplace,e.g. with regard to what depression exactly is and what makes it different from just feeling down.As a teenager you have a bit more scope to be the young and glamorous stereotype, permeated in a Lana Del Ray lucid dream.Depression is a severe disorder, and one that can often go undetected in some people's lives because it can creep upon you.Depression doesn't need to strike all at once;it can be gradual and nearly unnoticeable withdrawal from your active life and enjoyment of living.                                                                                                                                                               The problem with depression is that you know you'll be OK but you still feel awful, you know people love you,but it doesn't fell like they do,you know that doing something will make you feel better, but you just don't know how to,you want to be well, but you just can't seem to get there.People suffering with depression start feeling that they are not strong any more but they are wrong, they forget that strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us but those who win battles we know nothing about.I totally agree that this world is full of monsters with friendly faces but also we can't deny the fact that in this world there also exist angels who are full of stars.I know it's very hard,to stay strong for everyone around you, with a pasted on smile that quickly goes away when you are alone.I know it's tough trying to kill something that's inside, and eats you alive and there's noting you can do about it.No matter how hard you try ,it just doesn't go away. But,you should also remember that you can't start the next chapter of your life if they keep re-reading the last one.So stop overthinking and take time to do what makes your soul happy.Take a deep breath,it's just a bad day not a bad life. Some years back, I read a magazine in which a question was asked that what is the bravest thing you have ever done ......there were many answers to that question but the answer that left me teary eyed was by a boy.He answered"THE BRAVEST THING I EVER DID WAS CONTINUING MY LIFE WHEN I WANTED TO DIE".At that time, this statement helped me to understand the pain and feelings that the people suffering with depression go through.

Having anxiety and depression is like being scared and tired at the same time. It's the fear of failure, but no urge to be productive. It's wanting friends, but hate socializing. It's wanting to be alone, but not wanting to be lonely. It's caring about everything, then caring about nothing. It's feeling everything at once....then feeling paralyzingly numb.People suffering with depression needs proper care and support. It's my request to all of you be supportive, try to be more understanding and supporting towards the people who are suffering with it and help them to fight with it.Don't let them feel ashamed of themselves and tell them "It's OK to feel this way".HELP THEM IN ANY WAY YOU CAN.....AND SUPPORT THE MOVEMENT #NOT ASHAMED.Click here and listen to Deepika Padukone's story of dealing with depression and if you feel the same, don't worry at all, share it with your family or anyone on whom you trust more than yourself and believe me after recovering from it, you will feel way more stronger and happy.
